It has been some time since the last post. We have been busy. This season we hosted the holiday dinner with our immediate families.

  • Brined and Roasted Turkey
  • Roast Beef
  • Mac and Cheese
  • Cumin Green beans
  • Asparagus
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Sweet potato mash with coconut and pineapple

In preparation for the family dinner we contacted on of our high school mates who owns a wonderful business, Gourmet Sorbet and Soups!

We asked him for some of his custom flavored sorbet so we could offer a tasting to our family. He had so many flavors to choose from at $10 per pint: pineapple thai basil, habanero banana, juniper plum, mulled cider, cherry amaretto just to name a few.  We had chosen 4 flavors for our family to taste and savor – cherry amaretto, kiwi coconut lime, orange honey spice, and apricot coconut chamomile.

WOW was that a good idea – each person had 4-1.25oz cups and a spoon. Right before the dessert it cleansed the pallette and prepared us for the next course.

When each person tasted the flavors there was so much conversation, you see everyone had to guess the flavors they were enjoying. It was truly alot of fun, something we would do again and something we would do for our friend on a more professional level to assist him with his business.

The business is a great concept – sorbets in the summer and soups in the fall and winter. Fresh and natural ingredients no artificial coloring or flavoring. RIght now they can be located at the indoor market, Elmwood Avenue and Lafayette Saturdays – I think this will be a great business and the sorbets are great – I look forward to tasting the soups.

Please check out their business and support them. If you would like more information feel free to contact me.
