“Don’t worry be happy”

Today is my first day of work and I just finished my first shift. The bus was about half an hour late. Of course I was there super early because I didn’t want to miss it and I wanted to “time” my walk.
Anyway the bus finally came at 10 (the time I am supposed to be at work). I was worrying about the bus not getting to the stop, then about being late, and then again about not knowing which stop to get off on. I wasn’t panicking just silently worrying when Bobby McFerrin started singing through the speakers! “Dont worry, Be Happy”!!!
Well this will be my mantra the entire day!!! (God is good!)
Anyway I get to work and I am greeted by wonderful, welcoming smiles. With this and my mantra it is constantly being affirmed and reaffirmed that I am supposed to be here.
I worked on desserts this morning, with Filomenia; Chocolate Mousse, strawberry tiramisu, strawberry jello dessert, and started a cake for a communion tomorrow. The cake had Fragolini (sp?), tiny strawberries. They are really good, sweet, and tart at the same time, so so good. We ate a staff meal which was rice salad; with tuna,cheese,green beans, tomatoes, and ham. It was good. The staff was eating it with packet mayonnaise and ketchup! Interesting taste,but I liked mine plain. They also served buffalo mozzarella with lunch.
Thankfully Filomenia spoke a little English, very well I might add, so it was refreshing to work with her today. I was thankful.
I go back to work at 6:30 or so, my bus comes at 6:30 so I am on italian time :-).
